What rolls by

The listing promises fire trucks, horses, dirt buggies and decorated floats, a good deal of candy thrown to the crowd, and Santa himself. It is a small-town parade, and that is the appeal: short enough for young children, close enough to the curb to see faces on the floats.

Where to stand

The organisers’ own tip is to watch from across the street from the Downtown Gazebo. We have not seen a published 2026 route beyond Main Street itself, so if you want a spot near the gazebo, get there well before 6 PM. Bring a folding chair or blanket if you plan to wait, and a flashlight for the walk back to the car.

Making a day of it

  • Afternoon in town. The Christmas Market is finished by December 12, but Main Street’s shops are open and decorated. Walk the village before the crowds gather.
  • Hardman Farm the same evening? Victorian Christmas at Hardman Farm runs 4 to 7 PM on December 11 and 12. You could do an early visit there, but it overlaps the parade start, so pick one for Saturday or go to Hardman Farm on Friday instead.
  • Parking. Expect the lots near Main Street to be busy from mid-afternoon. See the parking guide.
